What is Dota 2?
Dota 2 is a game where you control a single character in a team of 5 against an opposing team. The objective of the game is to kill enemy (human) controller heroes and destroy their base using your own hero’s unique abilities.
There are currently 74 playable heroes in Dota 2 as of writing.
Why should I play Dota 2?
Dota 2 is a unforgiving skill driven multiplayer game. The more you suck, the more fun it is for the opposing team, the more ire your game skill draws from your teammates.
Dota 2 is very balanced. Any hero will do well in the hands of a expert and potentially fail badly in the hands of a novice.
Where can I download Dota 2?
Dota 2 is currently in beta and access is given via invite only.
The best way to get a key would be through the myraid of beta key handouts all over the Internet.
When will Dota 2 be released?
When it is ready. No official release date has been announced.
Dota 2 will be free to play.
There are many heroes from the previous incarnation still not in the game.

Dota 2 is currently in development by Valve under the guidance of IceFrog, one of the main figures behind the first Dota game.
How can I get access to Dota 2?
There are plenty of ways to do so. But do start by downloading Steam and request access to the beta.
